It’s already been announced that Microsoft will be supporting HTML5 video in Internet Explorer 9. Now the company has confirmed that the codec it will be supporting is H.264. That’s bad news for Theora fans.

Oracle Buys Sun ! Yes,They Completes Sun Microsystems Purchase

Oracle announced Wednesday(27th of January,2010) a deal with Sun Microsystems ,valued at more than $7 billion.

“Our vision for 2010 is the same as IBM’s vision for 1960,”

What the IBM done at 1960?

IBM had been an industry leader through integrating all its IT offerings, such as hardware, software, and services. So Oracle may also going to be a Hardware Bussines as well as Software Industry.

Idea for Purchase – This happened at April 20 :

Oracle Corp. agreed to buy Sun Microsystems Inc. for $7.4 billion, or $9.50 a share in cash.-(C)Bloomberg

Will ORACLE keep Java ,”open source”:

Oracle might come from a different culture than a company like Red Hat, but they do participate in open source. Oracle have donated projects to the ASF (Apache Software Foundation).And also they supports and also a member at Eclipse Project.

But We cannot surely say that they keep Java ,Open and Free! Because Oracle lack in FOSS . 😦
